PUPPIES UNDER 1 YEAR
These young dogs are still growing, learning and developing their personalities. Because many of their breed mixes and backgrounds are unknown, their expected adult size and weight are only estimates—they may grow larger or smaller than anticipated.
Adopting a puppy means committing to training, socialization, patience and
plenty of love as they grow into the wonderful adult dog they’re meant to become.
Betty Rubble
Born around January 2026, Betty Rubble is a cheerful little pup with a bright future ahead. She and her sister Wilma Flinstone were rescued together when one of our staff members took them in from a neighbor who threw them away, giving them the safe start they deserved. Betty is a happy, playful puppy who loves exploring, bouncing around with curiosity, and sharing her sunshine with everyone she meets. She’s already begun her protocols to get ready for adoption, showing that she’s not just adorable—she’s well on her way to becoming the perfect companion. With her affectionate nature and joyful spirit, Betty Rubble is ready to grow into the loving family member she was meant to be. She’ll bring laughter, warmth, and endless tail wags to any home lucky enough to welcome her. 💕
Calixto
Born January 21, 2026, Calixto is one of four precious puppies who survived after their brave mom, Capulina, gave birth to six. Two siblings were lost at birth, but Calixto and his brothers—Cielo, Cayenne, and Cortez—pulled through, carrying with them the strength of their mother’s love. Calixto is a striking little boy, black with dainty white toes that look like he’s dipped them in paint. He’s playful, curious, and already showing the spark of personality that makes him unforgettable.
Though his journey has only just begun, Calixto’s story is one of resilience and hope. He’s growing alongside his brothers, learning the joy of safety and care, and waiting for the day when he’ll be ready to meet the family who will cherish him forever.

Chile
Born around April 2026, little Chile was rescued with his siblings Birria, Mole, and Pozole in the Mezcales/AltaVela area. Their brave mama, a Chihuahua mix, stayed close to protect them until help arrived. Chile has a darker face than his sister Birria, and while we’re just beginning to learn his personality, he’s already showing us the resilience and sweetness that comes from being safe and cared for. ✨ For now, Chile is resting, growing, and discovering the world with his siblings. We’ll share more about him as he blossoms in our care.
Goliath
Goliath came to us alongside Romeo and Juliet, and we believe they’re a little family—Mom, Dad, and son. Goliath is the son. When they arrived, they were covered in ticks and fleas, but now they’re safe and starting fresh. He was born approximately January 2026. Goliath is a sweet, cuddly little guy with a white coat that makes him stand out from Romeo who is white with tan spots. He has completed his health protocols, so he’s ready for adoption!
We’re simply getting to know this gentle boy more and more each day and helping him on his journey toward the happy, healthy life he deserves.

Johnny
Small (weighs 12 pounds), black‑and‑tan, and full of heart — that’s me, Johnny! I spent my early days on the streets of San José with my mama by my side. We were inseparable, always together, always waiting for someone to notice. Kind people fed us and worried about us, but no one stepped forward to change our fate. Finally, an independent rescuer saw our story online and gave us the chance we’d been waiting for — safety, care, and hope. Now I’m learning what it means to be loved, with a cozy bed instead of pavement and gentle hands instead of uncertainty. I may be small, but my spirit is big, and I’m ready to share it with the world.
Johnny is proof that even the tiniest pup can carry a huge story of resilience. He will be looking for a family who will give him the forever love he deserves. 💛🐾
Melvin
Born around February 2026, Melvin is a little pup with a big future ahead of him. His journey started in the Mezcales area, where he was being rehomed. When rescued, he had ticks and fleas, but thanks to care and compassion, he’s now on the path to a healthier, happier life. Melvin is still just a baby, curious about the world and eager to learn what it means to be safe and loved. With his puppy charm and resilient spirit, he’s ready to grow into the kind of companion who will bring joy and laughter to his forever family.
Raya
With one sparkling blue eye and one warm brown, Raya is a little husky mix who carries beauty and joy in equal measure. She is more medium in size. Born around November 2025, she was rescued on Tondoroque road near CFE alongside her devoted mom, Lucero. Still just a youngster, Raya is discovering the world with wide‑eyed curiosity and a gentle heart. She loves people, adores treats, and is learning every day what it means to be safe, cared for, and cherished. Her playful personality shines brighter with each passing moment, and she’s ready to share that sunshine with her forever family. Raya is the perfect blend of striking looks and sweet temperament—a loyal companion waiting to bring love, laughter, and husky hugs into your life. 🐾
Vincent
Born around June 2026, Vincent is one of two little Chihuahua babies rescued alongside their devoted mama, Tachi. This small family was found in the Bucerías area near the Canadian school, living on the street and doing their best to stay safe together.
Vincent is still discovering the world and figuring out who he is. What we do know is that he’s a sweet, curious little boy who watches everything with bright eyes and is slowly learning that people can be kind. Whether he grows into a playful adventurer or a quiet cuddle‑bug, he’s already showing a soft, lovable nature that makes him easy to fall for.
Wilma Flinstone
Born around January 2026, Wilma Flinstone is Betty Rubble’s sister and partner in adventure. The two were rescued together when one of our staff members took them in from a neighbor who threw them away, giving them the safe start they needed. Wilma is a happy, spirited puppy with a playful personality all her own. She loves to bounce, explore, and share her joy with everyone she meets. Just like her sister, she’s already begun her protocols to get ready for adoption, showing she’s well on her way to becoming the perfect family companion. With her affectionate nature and puppy charm, Wilma is ready to grow into a loyal, loving friend. She’ll bring laughter, warmth, and endless tail wags to any home lucky enough to welcome her. 💖
