  • Bella

Bella’s journey began in La Desembocada, near the jail, where she was found with eight tiny pups just three weeks old. On January 7, 2025, her life took a turn for the better—rescued alongside her bouncing brood: Balam, Bali, Been, Bimbo, Biri, Boni, Brisa & Bruno. Born around January 2023, Bella is the definition of gentle strength. Weighing in at 35 pounds, she’s calm, sweet, and carries herself with quiet confidence. Medium energy means she’s up for a stroll or a cuddle, depending on the mood. She’s been living in an outdoor shelter, so house life will be a new adventure—but she’s ready to learn the ropes with someone patient and kind.

Bella’s vibe? Think wise best friend meets cozy couch buddy. She’s done the hard work of motherhood and now deserves a life filled with belly rubs, soft beds, and unconditional love.

If you’re looking for a dog who’s survived, thrived, and still believes in the goodness of people—Bella’s waiting to meet you.

  • Chokie

Chokie is a newer rescue, born around August 2023, weighs 26 pounds, and already showing what a truly special dog he is. This handsome brindle boy has a gentle, easygoing nature and loves being around people. He’s settling into rescue life and learning that the world can be kind, safe, and full of possibility. Chokie is hoping for a loving home where he can continue to grow, feel secure, and share his sweet personality with a family of his own.

  • Cort

Born around November 2025, weighs 27lbs, Cort is one of Lila’s precious pups. He came into rescue with his mom and sister Gala after a kind lady asked us for help, making sure this little family had the chance they deserved. Cort is a playful, curious boy who’s just starting to discover the world. With his puppy energy and bright spirit, he’s always ready for fun, cuddles, and new adventures. He’s now surrounded by love and care, and he’s getting ready to find a forever family who will guide him through life with patience, kindness, and plenty of belly rubs. 💙

  • Daysi

Approx. D.O.B. January 2021. When Daysi was found she had milk and the rescuer was worried there were puppies out there. Two people from the rescue took Daysi back to where she was rescued on a long leash and followed her. She took them straight to her house in Jarretaderas to her 9 puppies (puppies are: Rizzo, Ringo, Robert, Rossy, Ruth, Rony, Rita, Romy and 1 more that unfortunately had died). They had a home but it was unfortunately a home where no care and necessities were provided. They were living in the middle of garbage. Daysi is still waiting for her own happy ending. She’s a natural-born leader with a zest for life and a tail that never stops wagging. She walks with purpose, plays with joy, and greets each day like it’s an adventure waiting to happen. She’s affectionate, noble, and—let’s be honest—absolutely gorgeous. Daysi takes her time warming up to new doggy friends, but once she’s comfy, she’s all in. She lives peacefully with other dogs, loves her walks, and has a cheerful energy that’s downright contagious. She’s done her part as a mama and a survivor. Now it’s her turn to be cherished. 34 pounds.

  • Harry

Meet Harry, weighing in at 32lbs, one of our newest arrivals at the rescue ranch. He came alongside Sally, and together they simply decided to stay—choosing safety, comfort, and community over the uncertainty of the world outside. Harry is still brand new to us, so we’re just beginning to discover who he is. What we know already is that he’s curious, steady, and adjusting to ranch life with quiet resilience. Every day he shows us little glimpses of the companion he’s meant to be, and we can’t wait to see his personality blossom. Harry’s story is just beginning, and he will be looking for a family who will give him patience, kindness, and the chance to experience all the joys of a forever home once he has completed all his protocols.

  • Kenya

Born around November 2012 (Senior), 35 pounds, Kenya is a beautiful, resilient girl who’s traded the rough streets for a second chance at love. After bravely overcoming two tumors (now fully removed!), she’s blossomed into a sweet, affectionate lady with a smile that melts hearts. Kenya is a people-loving pup who prefers the company of kind humans over rowdy doggy playdates. She’s a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’ll lean in for pets and soak up your affection like sunshine. Her medium energy makes her the perfect companion for leisurely strolls, cozy afternoons, and quiet companionship. She’s never lived in a home before, so she’ll need a patient guide to help her learn the ropes of indoor life—but with her gentle spirit and eagerness to please, she’s ready to try. Kenya is currently in an outdoor shelter, dreaming of a calm, loving forever home where she can finally exhale and just be… loved.

Pretty, peaceful, and full of promise—Kenya is ready to write her next chapter with you.

  • Leonardo

Born around May 16, 2024, weighs 30lbs, Leonardo is one of six precious pups rescued alongside their devoted mama, Monet, from heartbreaking conditions. Thanks to the swift action of one of our founders, this little family was given a chance to grow up safe, loved, and full of promise. Leonardo’s siblings—Georgia, Frida, Diego, Rafael, and Jackson—each carry a spark, but Leonardo’s is quietly radiant. This sweet boy is a bundle of energy wrapped in a soft layer of shyness. He’s still learning that the world isn’t so scary, and while loud noises, unfamiliar people, and random dogs can make him nervous on walks, his playful nature shines through when he feels safe. He adores playing with other dogs and finds comfort in their company. Leonardo is currently living in an outdoor shelter in Nayarit, Mexico, and will need gentle guidance as he adjusts to home life. What he needs most is a kind, patient human who can help him build trust at his own pace. With love and consistency, Leonardo will blossom into the loyal, joyful companion he’s meant to be. 💖 Adopt Leonardo and help him paint a new life—one filled with safety, joy, and unconditional love.

JAN. 30/26: From a volunteer who has spent time with Leonardo: Leonardo is a gentle, sensitive soul who has made incredible progress with my interactions of a few times, in just a few weeks. When I first met him, he was very timid with his tail tucked, but now he happily stays close, enjoys ear scratches, makes sweet eye contact, and shows his loving nature. He’s quiet, walks beautifully on leash, though scared of cars, too, and gets along wonderfully with his kennel mates — big and small.Leonardo is especially comfortable with women and would thrive with someone patient and kind, though with the right calm, dog-savvy man, he would continue to grow. He will blossom and has brought me so much joy. Truly a special boy who leaves a lasting impression on your heart.

  • Lucy

Lucy’s been at the shelter for a long time. In dog years especially. Born approximately November 2021 & weighs 35lbs , this black beauty with a splash of white is basically a tuxedo in motion: classy, energetic, and always ready to party. Her origin story? A man rescued her from another person but couldn’t keep her—he was homeless and asked us to help. Lucy’s been waiting ever since, tail wagging, heart open, and leash skills on point. She’s got energy for days, affection for years, and a face that could launch a thousand belly rubs. Her hobbies include playing with her BFF Yuli (aka Eya), zooming like a caffeinated squirrel, and melting into your lap like she’s made of pudding. Lucy is sweet, social, and stunning. She’s been single for too long and is ready to swipe right on a forever home. Could that be you?

  • Milo

With his sleek black coat and a splash of white on his chest, weighs 35 pounds, Milo carries the quiet dignity of a dog who’s seen the world and still chooses love. Born around May 2021 and found wandering the streets by a kind soul, Milo has spent a very long time in our outdoor shelter — patiently waiting, always hopeful. Milo is a social sweetheart with impeccable manners. He’s gentle with children, friendly with other dogs, and even gets along with cats. He’s the kind of dog who makes everyone feel welcome, his tail wagging like a warm hello. But beneath that easygoing charm is a tender heart that longs for connection — Milo can get anxious when left alone, reminding us that what he truly craves is companionship. He’s healthy, affectionate, and ready to start the next chapter of his life. While he’ll need a little guidance to adjust to indoor living, Milo’s eagerness to please and his loving nature make him a wonderful candidate for a cozy home and a devoted human. If you’re looking for a loyal friend, a gentle soul, and a daily dose of unconditional love — Milo is waiting. Let’s make sure his next days are filled with belly rubs, soft beds, and the forever family he’s been dreaming of.

  • Ponchito

Ponchito is a sweet boy born around June 2023, weighs approx 30 pounds, with a rescue story that speaks to his resilience. He and his brother Luca were discovered on Los Poetas Avenue near the hills, alongside their frightened mother. She had more puppies, but heartbreakingly only these two survived. The rescuer tried to help their mom, but she was too scared to be caught, leaving Ponchito and Luca to be placed in foster care. Their foster mom did her best, but with many large dogs already in her home, she couldn’t continue caring for them, and Ponchito eventually found his way to an outdoor shelter.

Despite the challenges he has faced, Ponchito’s personality shines through. He is calm, playful, and affectionate, with a gentle spirit that makes him wonderful company. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and children, and he greets people with friendliness and trust. His medium energy level and obedient nature make him easy to be around, and his cuteness only adds to his charm.

Ponchito is waiting patiently for the chance to experience the comforts of a real home. Since he has been living outdoors, he will need a little guidance to learn the rhythms of family life, but his sweetness and eagerness to please will make that transition smooth. He is ready to bring joy, companionship, and love to the lucky family who welcomes him into their hearts.

  • Quimi

Quimi was born around January 2025, weighs 32lbs, he is one of six puppies rescued alongside their brave mom, Quitin. From the start, he’s stood out — not just because he’s too big for a handbag, but because he’s got a heart that’s even bigger. Quimi is a happy, playful, and active pup with a quiet side that makes him easy to love. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and enjoys friendly playtime without the chaos. He’s the kind of dog who brings joy without demanding the spotlight — just a nice guy looking for a soft place to land. He’s been living in an outdoor shelter for all of his days, so home life will be new to him. But with patience, kindness, and a comfy bed, Quimi is ready to learn what it means to be part of a family. If you’re looking for a dog who’s sweet, social, and just the right mix of fun and chill — Quimi is waiting to meet you. He may be too big for a bag, but he’s just the right size for your heart.

  • Tonita aka Soraya

URGENTLY SEEKING PERMANENT FOSTER OR ADOPTER: Approx. D.O.B. February 2020 & weighs 32lbs. Tonita (aka Soraya) was hit by a car and had a broken back. She’s paralyzed and incontinent. She also has one back leg that was amputated. Toñita has a lot of energy. She is very fast to move. Active but also likes to be cuddled. She is an alpha and wants to be the queen. She is nice with other dogs but not with small puppies… She can be grumpy with puppies. She uses a wheelchair but hasn't been in it much and can't stay in it long because it's cuts of circulation. In a drag bag, she is like Lightning McQueen!

  • Osaya

Approx. D.O.B. August 2025, weighing in at 31.5lbs – Osaya’s journey began in Mezcales, Nayarit, where she was heartbreakingly discarded in the garbage by a neighbor. Thankfully, she was found by the children of one of our staff members and given a second chance at life. Now safe in our outdoor shelter, Osaya is showing us more of her radiant personality every day. She’s resilient, affectionate, and always ready for a hug. She handles her crate beautifully, was trained to go outside, and walks like a princess on a leash—riding in the car with the same grace. Despite everything she’s been through, she loves her humans through and through. Osaya has done well with dogs of different sizes, though resource guarding around food has been a challenge. She’ll thrive best in a calmer home where she can be the main focus, or with dogs less powerful than her. She loves children, but her play is still rough and unrefined, so she’ll need patient guidance to learn gentler ways to interact. Like many young, energetic dogs, Osaya has a mischievous streak—she’ll counter surf, jump into the fridge or garbage bins, and growl when she thinks food is hers. She’s always “hungry,” so her adopter will need to be consistent and experienced in teaching boundaries. Osaya is stunning, spirited, and eager to bond—but she’s not a “starter dog.” She needs an experienced adopter who can provide structure, consistency, and the time to help her blossom. With the right guidance, she’ll shine as the extraordinary companion she’s destined to be. Osaya may have been thrown away once, but she’s a treasure now—waiting for a family who will cherish her, invest in her training, and give her the chance to thrive.

  • Yank aka Yannie

Born in September 2022, weighs approx 32 pounds, this happy girl is pure cuteness overload—just look at that face! 🐾💕

Yang had a short time in foster care where she made wonderful progress. She grew more confident, especially on the beach where she enjoyed running off leash, and even began warming up to men after finding them a little scary at first. She discovered car rides are one of her favorite things, and she bravely visited restaurants where she let new people pet her.

Now back at the outdoor shelter, Yang is waiting for her chance to shine again. She’s still learning, still growing, and still showing her sweet spirit every day. Toys aren’t really her thing, but she loves companionship and gentle affection. She does have some separation anxiety, but with patience and kindness she will continue to blossom.

Yang deserves the comfort of a loving home where she can feel safe, build trust, and share her loyal heart. 💖

  • Yoli

Yoli’s story began in a quiet riverbed tucked into the hills of a traditional Puerto Vallarta neighborhood. She was found with six tiny puppies, doing her best to protect them in the wild. Though two of her babies didn’t survive, (Her surviving puppies are Yaira, Yoshi, Yuli &Yoyo), Yoli’s strength and love never wavered—and she’s been a symbol of quiet courage ever since. Born around October 2019, weighs 30lbs, Yoli has now spent a very long time in our outdoor shelter. She’s a beautiful blend of playful energy and calm affection. She adores being petted, thrives on gentle companionship, and has a heart full of love to give. While the chaos of puppies can stress her out (fair enough—she’s earned her peace!), she’s a very good girl who’s ready to be someone’s best friend. Yoli hasn’t experienced the comforts of a home yet, so she’ll need a little help learning the ropes. But with her affectionate nature and eagerness to connect, she’s more than ready to trade gravel for grass and shelter walls for a warm embrace. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s weathered life’s storms and still shines, Yoli is ready to be your sunshine!

  • Yuli

Approx. D.O.B. August 2024 & weighs 30lbs. Yuli’s story begins in the hills near Pitillal, where she and her siblings were discovered with their brave mama, Yoli, beside a small river. It was a rough start—two of her siblings didn’t make it—but Yuli, along with Yaira, Yoshi, and Yoyo, paddled through to safety. Now a bouncy, bright-eyed beauty with a heart full of sunshine, Yuli lives in an outdoor shelter where she’s the life of the doggy party. She’s playful, social, and full of good energy—always ready for a romp or a cuddle with her canine crew.

Homebody-in-Training - Yuli hasn’t lived in a home yet, so she’ll need a little guidance with house training. But with her sweet nature and curious spirit, she’s sure to catch on quickly. She’s ready to swap shelter dust for cozy rugs and river rocks for squeaky toys. If you’re looking for a pup with a story, sparkle, and a whole lot of love to give, Yuli’s your girl.
