Welcome to the official update page for the New Salty Dog Rescue Ranch! This is where we’ll share our journey, milestones, and progress as we build a safe haven for dogs in need.
Our Vision
The Ranch will be more than just a shelter — it will be a community hub where rescue dogs find care, comfort, and the chance at brighter futures. With dedicated spaces for rehabilitation, play, and adoption events, we’re creating a place filled with hope and wagging tails. We are combining our "Puppyland" small dog shelter and our "Mezcales" medium/large dog shelter so everyone is together in one place.

Update: September 5, 2025
Things are beginning to happen...
Update: September 26 to 30, 2025
We have the perimeter started...
Update: October 2025
Here's what's been happening in October! The fencing is coming along for the perimeter. Priming and painting has begun and guess what... WE HAVE WATER!!!
Update: November 2025
Check it out...We have a roof happening on the kennels, we have dogs moving in and it's looking AMAZING!! David, Everardo and Ian have been giving it their all day in and day out! We have also had some wonderful volunteers come out at various times to assist!
Update: December 2025
It's all coming together... Medium/Large Dogs are all living here now and playing and running in the open area! They are having so much fun with all the extra space they have to really run!
Update: January 2026
We have small dogs here now as well! We had a painting party with a bunch of volunteers to get things done! We are so grateful for every moment that you spend volunteering! There is also the foundation started now for a container home for one of our founders! The pad for the biodigester is also completed and we have lights!
