Burt
Born around December 2025, Burt is part of a very special rescue family. Burt is the brother of March who along with her puppies, Lisa and Maggy and their father, Homero were once found tied to a tree on the road to a ranch after they had killed a chicken. Thankfully, they were saved, brought into rescue, and each one has since been adopted into loving homes. And now it’s Burt's turn. After seeing his sister and her family find safety and happiness in Canada, the people who had him came forward and asked us to help Burt too, so he could have the same chance at a forever home. Burt is a young pup with a gentle spirit, playful energy, and the resilience that runs in his family. His story is just beginning, and we’re excited to help him find the love and security he deserves.
✨ Burt is getting ready to start his journey toward adoption, and we can’t wait to see him thrive in a home of his own.
Bunny
Bunny’s story began when a kind woman found him in the Mission area after his owners threw him away. He was in very serious condition, but she didn’t hesitate — she took him home, stabilized him, and asked for help because she already had several puppies in her care. Thanks to her quick action, Bunny survived long enough to reach rescue.
Born around February 2025, Bunny is a distemper survivor. The virus left him with neurological damage only — no trauma to his spine — which gives him a unique way of moving. He hops to get around, and with his long, expressive ears, he truly looks like a little bunny rabbit.
Despite everything he’s been through, Bunny is gentle, curious, and full of determination. He’s learning how to navigate the world in his own special way, and every hop he takes is proof of his resilience.

Chokie
Chokie is a newer rescue, born around August 2023, and already showing what a truly special dog he is. This handsome brindle boy has a gentle, easygoing nature and loves being around people. He’s settling into rescue life and learning that the world can be kind, safe, and full of possibility. Chokie is hoping for a loving home where he can continue to grow, feel secure, and share his sweet personality with a family of his own.
Dakota
Dakota is a brand‑new rescue boy, born around February 2026. He was found on the streets in the Bucerías area, scared and alone. Thankfully, a kind lady stepped in to rescue him and reached out to us for help — the very same woman who once found Mosquito (Mozzy) running around. Now Dakota is safe and beginning his journey with us. 💙 His past may be uncertain, but his future is full of hope, love, and the promise of a forever home.
Henry
Born around January 2026, Henry’s start in life was heartbreakingly unfair. He and his brother were abandoned in a deserted lot where construction had stopped, left with no food, no water, and no one to care for them. Tragically, his brother didn’t survive the heat and neglect — but Henry was saved when a rescuer stepped in and asked us for help. Now safe, Henry is beginning his journey toward a brighter future. He’s a young pup with a resilient spirit, good with other dogs, gentle with cats, and absolutely adores people. His sweet nature shines through even as he undergoes his health protocols, proving that love and care can heal even the hardest beginnings. Henry’s story is just starting, and we can’t wait to watch him grow into the happy, loved companion he was always meant to be.
Johnny
Small, black‑and‑tan, and full of heart — that’s me, Johnny! I spent my early days on the streets of San José with my mama by my side. We were inseparable, always together, always waiting for someone to notice. Kind people fed us and worried about us, but no one stepped forward to change our fate. Finally, an independent rescuer saw our story online and gave us the chance we’d been waiting for — safety, care, and hope. Now I’m learning what it means to be loved, with a cozy bed instead of pavement and gentle hands instead of uncertainty. I may be small, but my spirit is big, and I’m ready to share it with the world.
Johnny is proof that even the tiniest pup can carry a huge story of resilience. He will be looking for a family who will give him the forever love he deserves. 💛🐾

Rocky 2
Rocky 2 comes from a loving rescue story. His rescuer had spent years saving animals in Puerto Vallarta, but serious health issues left him unable to continue caring for his 22 dogs and 4 cats. Born around January 2020, he’s a gentle, mature boy with a calm sweetness despite his past. Rocky 2 is now safe, loved, and finally on the path to the future his rescuer hoped for him.
Romeo the 2nd

Romeo is an incredibly sweet boy who loves to be picked up and cuddled. He’s happiest close to you, showering you with affection and kisses. With his gentle nature and loving heart, it’s easy to see why he’s such a favorite. Tiny
Born on May 20, 2026, Tiny is a black beauty with a big story for such a little pup. Her mom, Nala, was rescued in the San José area just three months ago. Nala was fostered by a kind independent rescuer, but since she wasn’t yet fixed, one of the puppies at the foster home managed to sneak in some mischief… and that’s how Tiny came to be! Tiny’s dad? Well, we’re not totally sure—but we know the contenders are both small-sized sweethearts, so Tiny is destined to stay petite and adorable. Now, this little girl is getting ready to grow up surrounded by love, play, and cuddles. She’s the perfect mix of resilience and cuteness, carrying her mom’s brave rescue spirit and her own puppy sparkle.💕
