Amy - Adoption Pending - Calgary, AB
Approx. D.O.B. April 2025. Amy, Reese and Candy 2 are siblings. They were found in the hill in PV by a kid, abandoned. They were full of fleas/ticks. She is a fun little girl! Likes to play with her toys and also loves to chill in your arms. She is just so precious!
Henry (aka Dax) - Trial Adoption Pending - Edmonton, AB area
D.O.B. February 14/24 - Duquesa is the Mom and she had the 6 puppies on Feb. 14/24 the same night she was resced. Dax/Henry, is one of the puppies that she had. He is the smallest of all his siblings. He was adopted but for his safety is being rehomed. This is what his now foster parents have to say about him:
Meet Henry! Henry was brought to us from Mexico by Salty Dog Rescue in July of 2024. Heās a cute, cuddly, playful, people-oriented, energetic, happy pup, and we are crazy about him. Unfortunately, Henry thinks he is the same size as his older brother Finn, and we feel itās not safe for this little guy (20 pounds or so) to play with his huge (and slightly clumsy) older brother (135 pounds), and have decided a safer home is a better place for him. He broke his right wrist playing several months ago while playing ā the vet says that although his right front paw is at a slight angle, it healed well and Henry has become accustomed to it.
- Henry LOVES to run at the off-leash park.
- He has very good recall, even without a treat.
- He likes to play with other dogs.
- He sleeps with our cats.
- Heās good with kids.
- He is still young, and explores the world with his mouth (he doesnāt bite, but his teeth are part of the exploration package) but this habit is starting to go away.
Heās a great housemate, is outdoor trained, hasnāt had an accident for a few months (as long as he goes outside before bedtime, no issues).
Juanito - Adoption Pending - Qualicum Beach, B.C.
Approx. D.O.B. May 2010. He is a senior! Juanito, was abandoned in the Paraiso Felino shelter in San Juan de Abajo. He is severely malnourished and was found in a bag and covered in cow poop. He is a new rescue so more information to come as we get aquainted with this little fellow!
June
Approx. D.O.B. June 2022. A man found her on the street close to San Vicente. He couldn't keep her, so he asked for our help. She has an old injury in her front leg that has healed, and there isn't anything further that could be done for it. It doesn't affect her in any way. June is quiet and sweet. Well-mannered.
Valentina - (On Hold) Blind Bay, B.C. area
Approx. D.O.B. November 2024. She was found hit by a car and couldn't walk but she was not incontinent and was moving from the bed to pee/poo. She is doing pool therapy and excelling like mad! She is a trooper! SHE NOW RUNS and plays and is having the time of her life! Turns out the vet said there are no breaks in her leg, it is neurological. The vet showed by pinching her toes with tweezers. No reaction except 1 toe. Same on her arm. No feeling. They recommended the pool therapy. Some electrical stimulation or acupuncture. If it doesn't resolve then the vet recommended amputation. She is tiny! She is very calm and sweet. Loves to cuddle. She doesn't bark and listens when you tell her no. She is house trained and is pee pad trained!
