Since then, he’s been given a second chance in foster care—and he’s showing just how much love he has to give. This handsome boy may have a touch of grumpiness at times, but don’t let that fool you—he absolutely adores cuddles and thrives on affection. His favorite things? Toys and a good game of fetch with his ball! With the right person, Cappuchino’s playful side shines bright. Thanks to patient foster parents, he’s already made wonderful progress. He’s more relaxed, affectionate, and showing his true sweet nature every day. He’s medium energy, loves his toys, and will flourish with an experienced dog owner who understands his quirks and can guide him with kindness and consistency. Chuleta - Available in Vancouver, B.C.
Born around June 2025, Chuleta is a tiny survivor with a big heart. She was found in the busy Coapinole neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta, right where cars and buses zoom by. She didn’t move from the street, and it was dangerously close to disaster—until a kind lady scooped her up and brought her safely to the San José area. Now, Chuleta is healthy, safe, and finished with her medical protocols. She’s still a bit of a mystery, but one thing is clear: she’s a brave little pup who’s ready to discover what love and family feel like.
✨ Fun facts about Chuleta:
Her name means “little chop” in Spanish—cute, right?
She’s already showing her sweet spirit after such a scary start.
She’s the perfect age to grow up with her forever family.
Chuleta’s story is just beginning, and she’s waiting for someone special to help her write the happiest chapters yet. 💛
Coco
Born around January 2026, Coco’s story began in Valle’s plaza, where six tiny puppies were found inside a garbage basket. Sadly, only two survived—Coco and his sister Caterina. Thanks to Proyecto Rescatando Amor and our rescue team, these little fighters were given a second chance at life. 💙
Coco is the bigger of the two siblings, but he’s still destined to be a small‑to‑medium pup. With his snowy white coat and adorable brown markings around his eyes and ears, he’s as handsome as he is lovable. This little love bug is well‑mannered and was in foster care and learned how to go outside to potty—such a good boy! He now is back in an outdoor shelter. He sleeps through the night, enjoys playtime, and has a special obsession with squeaky toys (they’re his absolute favorite!). Coco’s gentle nature, playful spirit, and resilience make him a true treasure. He’s ready to bring joy, cuddles, and endless tail wags to the family who opens their heart to him. 🐶✨

When they arrived, they were covered in ticks and fleas, but now they’re safe and starting fresh. He was born approximately January 2026. Goliath is a sweet, cuddly little guy with a white coat that makes him stand out from Romeo who is white with tan spots. He has completed his health protocols, so he’s ready for adoption!
We’re simply getting to know this gentle boy more and more each day and helping him on his journey toward the happy, healthy life he deserves.
Gonzo - Seeking Adopter/Foster Home in Victoria, Vancouver or Alberta Area
Meet Gonzo — Born around December 2024, he is small‑to‑medium in size. Gonzo’s story began when a kind volunteer spotted his mom, Gypsi, with six wiggly puppies near the shelter. Among them was Gonzo — curious eyes, playful paws, and a heart already eager to love. Gonzo is a smart, affectionate boy who thrives on learning new things and splashing in any water he can find. He’s medium‑energy, happiest with daily walks, car rides (he jumps right in with joy!), and plenty of patience as he continues to grow into the wonderful dog he’s meant to be. While Gonzo adores small dogs, he’s still learning how to feel comfortable around bigger ones. Thanks to his foster mom’s dedication — and even group walks with her sister‑in‑law’s large dogs — Gonzo is making amazing progress. On May 5, he joined his first walk with them and, to everyone’s delight, calmly ignored them while enjoying the new neighborhood. With treats, consistency, and love, he’s showing just how adaptable and clever he is. Playful, affectionate, and oh‑so‑cute, Gonzo is ready to bring joy to a family who will celebrate his quirks, cheer on his progress, and let him ride shotgun on every adventure. He is considered high needs - he suffers with separation anxiety so will need an experienced foster/adopter to help him with that challenge. He requires anxiety medication.
He truly is a smart, water‑loving pup who will splash his way straight into your heart. 🌊🐾
Gus - Adoption Pending - Bucerias, MX
Born: April 2016 - Gus is a senior
Little Gus is a true treasure and deserves the most amazing forever home.
He is a whopping 3ish kgs and perfect size for travel.
He has only one tooth, and what appears to be an old injury that left him with a broken jaw. But this doesn’t slow him down one bit… he loves food, especially blueberries, and his little tongue hangs out the side of his mouth making him even more adorable.
He’s estimated at around 10 years old, but acts very much like a puppy and loves to play with toys like balls and soft, small stuffies.
Gus likes walks, and snuggles, and is very quiet- aside from the occasional protective barks in the yard when he can’t quite see what’s making loud noises around him.
He loves to sleep in bed with his person, but will also sleep in a comfy dog bed tucked up at the top of the bed. He is house trained, leash trained and has been working on crate training in his travel carrier. Gus gets along with their dogs and has experience with both large and small breeds. He is very interested in cats and has some experience with them up close… he does bark at them and wants to play. He would do well with cats that are used to small pups.
Kiki
Meet Kiki, our adorable bundle of energy born around December 2024. This brave girl was rescued in San Vicente when she was out on the street “on her days,” surrounded by too many dogs. One tried to jump on her, but thankfully a kind woman stepped in, whisked her to the clinic to be spayed, and cared for her for three weeks. When no family was found, she came to us for help — and now she’s ready for her forever home.
Kiki is high‑energy, playful, and super social. She loves being around people and other dogs, and she’s always up for fun and adventure. With her cheerful spirit and zest for life, she’ll bring joy and laughter to any family lucky enough to adopt her.
Luke
Born around April 2023, Luke is a spirited little guy with a big personality. He and his sister Leia (originally Panchito and Panchita) came to us after their former owner, who had rescued many dogs, needed help rehoming about 15 pups when her life circumstances changed. Along with Luke and Leia, we welcomed Gunner, Ginger, Gabe, and later Mango into our rescue family. Luke may be small in size, but he’s large in confidence. He loves to be first, thinks every toy belongs to him, and enjoys being the leader of the pack. Despite his “alpha” streak, he’s a genuinely nice dog who does well on walks and loves being part of the action. He can live with other dogs, but he prefers to be the one in charge. This energetic pup would thrive with an active family who can keep up with his playful spirit. Because of his strong personality, we recommend a home with kids 8–10 years and older.
Luke is ready to bring joy, fun, and loyalty to the right family — could that be yours? 💙
Mango
From the streets of Los Mangos (San Vicente) to the safety of rescue, Mango’s journey has been one of hope and second chances. When Ginger and her friends were scooped up, Mango was left behind—lonely and waiting for someone to notice him. Sandra couldn’t walk away, and thanks to her, Mango’s story took a happy turn. Born around April 2023, Mango is still just a pup with a whole lifetime of cuddles and adventures ahead. He’s completed all his adoption protocols, so he’s officially ready to meet his forever family! 🎉
Mango is a sweet, social boy who might be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and loves making new friends. He’s great with kids, and while we’re not sure about cats yet, his gentle nature shines through. This resilient pup is looking for a family who will shower him with kindness, patience, and the joy of belonging. 💛
Could Mango be the missing piece of your family puzzle? 🧩🐾
Nando - Adoption Pending - Meaford, ON
Born around January 2026, Nando is a tiny pup with a big story. He and his family were living outside on the roof of a house in Coapinole, where six dogs struggled in poor conditions. Nando, his dad Frankie, and his mom Frida were brought to safety, and efforts continue to rescue the other three.
Though small in size, Nando carries the resilience of his parents. He’s just beginning his journey, learning what it means to be safe, cared for, and loved. With his puppy charm and brave little heart, he’s ready to grow into a wonderful companion. Nando is looking for a forever home where he can leave behind hardship and discover the joy of being cherished.
Pita - In foster to adopt placement - Edmonton, AB
Born around February 2023, sweet Pita’s life has already carried more hardship than most. She once lived with a man near the cemetery in Jarretaderas, but when he moved away, she was left behind. Alone and searching for scraps, she survived on garbage until we rescued her. She was covered in fleas and ticks, and her body carried the weight of neglect. On March 22, 2026, Pita went into labor, but heartbreakingly, all of her babies had passed away inside her long before. Through it all, she has shown quiet strength and a gentle soul. Pita isn’t the most playful pup, but she has her own way of shining. She’s timid and prefers to stand back from the chaos, yet she will softly approach for treats and leans into cuddles when she feels safe. She can be fine with other dogs, though she treasures peace and calm over noisy crowds. What Pita longs for now is a family who will see her for the tender companion she is—a home where she can rest, be cherished, and finally know the comfort of unconditional love. 🐾 Pita may be shy, but her heart is ready to bloom in the right hands.
Quesito
Born around January 2025, Quesito came into the world with a full house — his mom Quitin and five equally adorable siblings: Queen, Quico, Quillo, Quimi, and Quinto. Since then, he’s been growing into one seriously handsome pup with a personality that’s impossible to ignore. Quesito is energetic, affectionate, and always ready to play. Whether it’s zooming around with other dogs or charming humans with his goofy grin, he’s got a zest for life that’s contagious. He’s the kind of dog who makes you smile just by being near — a tail-wagging reminder that joy can be found in the simplest moments. He’s been at the shelter for way too long, living outdoors and dreaming of soft beds, belly rubs, and a family to call his own. Home life will be new to him, so he’ll need a little guidance — but with his playful spirit and loving heart, he’s more than ready to learn. Quesito isn’t just beautiful on the outside — he’s pure sunshine on the inside. If you’re looking for a dog who’ll fill your days with laughter, cuddles, and unconditional love, Quesito is waiting to meet you.
Quimi
Quimi was born around January 2025, one of six puppies rescued alongside their brave mom, Quitin. From the start, he’s stood out — not just because he’s too big for a handbag, but because he’s got a heart that’s even bigger. Quimi is a happy, playful, and active pup with a quiet side that makes him easy to love. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and enjoys friendly playtime without the chaos. He’s the kind of dog who brings joy without demanding the spotlight — just a nice guy looking for a soft place to land. He’s been living in an outdoor shelter for all of his days, so home life will be new to him. But with patience, kindness, and a comfy bed, Quimi is ready to learn what it means to be part of a family. If you’re looking for a dog who’s sweet, social, and just the right mix of fun and chill — Quimi is waiting to meet you. He may be too big for a bag, but he’s just the right size for your heart.
Raya
With one sparkling blue eye and one warm brown, Raya is a little husky mix who carries beauty and joy in equal measure. Born around November 2025, she was rescued on Tondoroque road near CFE alongside her devoted mom, Lucero. Still just a youngster, Raya is discovering the world with wide‑eyed curiosity and a gentle heart. She loves people, adores treats, and is learning every day what it means to be safe, cared for, and cherished. Her playful personality shines brighter with each passing moment, and she’s ready to share that sunshine with her forever family. Raya is the perfect blend of striking looks and sweet temperament—a loyal companion waiting to bring love, laughter, and husky hugs into your life. 🐾
