Angie
Approx. DOB: December 2024. Angie’s journey began when she wandered up to the home of Chely’s neighbor, arriving straight from the street in need of kindness. Although he wanted to help her, his landlord wouldn’t allow dogs, so he reached out for rescue support. Angie had ticks and fleas when she was found, but with care and treatment, she’s now healthy and safe. Currently living in an outdoor shelter, Angie is showing everyone what a tender, loving soul she is. She’s a sweet but timid girl who blossoms with gentle attention. Angie loves being close to people — it’s where she feels safest and happiest. She’s a joyful pup at heart, but she can be nervous around noisy or overly energetic dogs, preferring calm companionship and a peaceful environment. Angie is ready for a family who will give her the patience, reassurance, and affection she deserves. With a little time and a lot of love, she’ll become the devoted, happy companion she’s meant to be.
Baxter
Baxter may be small, but his personality is already larger than life. Born in October 2025, this cheerful pup was rescued alongside his mom Blanca, his sibling Bob, and two other doggy pals, Roxie and Manny. Their old landlord wasn’t a fan of dogs, but lucky for Baxter, that just meant he got a ticket to a brighter future.
When he first arrived, Baxter had to shake off a few unwanted hitchhikers (fleas and ticks—yuck!), but now he’s all cleaned up and ready to shine. He’s a happy little guy who thinks cuddles are the best invention since squeaky toys. Sweet and snuggly, Baxter is the kind of pup who will wiggle his way into your lap and your heart in record time. Life in an outdoor shelter has been his classroom so far, but Baxter is eager to graduate to home life. He’ll need some guidance with house training, but with his goofy grin and eagerness to please, you’ll find yourself laughing through the learning curve.
Baxter’s motto? “Why walk when you can bounce?” He’s ready to trade shelter fences for family hugs, and he promises to bring joy, comedy, and unconditional love to whoever gives him his forever home.

Cheetos - Adoption Pending - Calgary, AB
Chetos came to Puppyland under heartbreaking circumstances. His mom Dorita and brother Chester were part of a litter threatened by a cruel landlord who had already killed three puppies. A kind woman stepped in and saved Chetos just in time — and he’s been waiting patiently for a safe, loving home to call his own.
Born around March 2024, Chetos is a calm, friendly soul who gets along beautifully with other dogs. He loves to play, be petted, and — adorably — carried. He walks like a pro on a leash and enjoys strolling side-by-side with his canine pals, making him a dream companion for outings and adventures. Chetos has spent his life in an outdoor shelter, so home life will be new to him. But his gentle nature and easygoing spirit make him a wonderful candidate for learning the ropes. He’s ready to trade shelter dust for cozy blankets, and uncertainty for unconditional love. If you’re looking for a dog who’s survived hardship with grace and still believes in kindness, Chetos is your guy. He doesn’t ask for much — just a chance to be safe, loved, and finally home!
Clifford
Clifford is a gentle poodlish mix, born around December 2019, whose journey into rescue began alongside his two daughters, Kia and Yuki. Their previous family had split up, and the person left caring for them simply couldn’t manage. As a result, Clifford and his girls spent much of their time alone, neglected, and living in poor conditions. When they were rescued, they smelled strongly of urine and carried the weight of that difficult past. Since arriving at the shelter, Clifford has completed all of his medical protocols and is now doing well. His soft eyes and kind spirit reveal a dog who is ready to leave behind the hardships he endured and embrace a brighter future. Clifford is currently living in an outdoor shelter, so he will need patience and guidance as he learns the comforts of home life—things like cozy beds, daily routines, and the joy of being part of a family. Despite everything, Clifford’s heart remains open. He longs for a forever home where he can finally know what it means to be cherished. With love and support, Clifford will blossom into the devoted companion he was always meant to be.

Devin - Available in Prince Albert, SK
Devin’s journey began at Lago Real mall, where a homeless gentleman was doing his best to care for him. This pint-sized pup had a broken jaw — likely from being hit by a car — and arrived at our rescue scared and fragile. Born around August 2023, Devin has come a long way since those early days. With gentle care and time, he’s blossomed into a happy, playful little guy who loves life and brings joy wherever he goes. He’s small, but his spirit is mighty. And those eyes? One brown, one blue — a little patchwork of magic that stops you in your tracks and makes you fall in love on the spot. In foster care, Devin has shown how comfortable he is with big dogs and loves dogs of all sizes, happily fitting right in. His housetraining is progressing: He is going outside but was marking (could be due to a new male foster coming in); He is doing it less and less now - It’s also been very cold, but he will go outside and there is another recent male foster in the house as well. Devin is sweet-natured, friendly, and ready to find a home where he can keep growing into the confident, cuddly companion he was always meant to be. If you’re looking for a tiny treasure with a story of resilience and a heart full of love, Devin is waiting to meet you.
Fito aka Frito
Born around January 2020, Frito’s story began quietly—just like him. He was found sitting calmly outside a house, simply waiting for someone to notice him. The people there said he wasn’t theirs, but someone saw the kindness in his eyes and made sure he wouldn’t be forgotten. Now in a loving foster home, Frito has shown us what a truly special dog he is. He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who adores cuddles, gentle pets, and being close to the people he trusts. There’s a peacefulness about him—the kind of presence that makes a home feel softer and calmer just by having him in it. As we’ve gotten to know him better, we’ve discovered even more reasons to love him. Frito is incredible on leash and wonderfully laid‑back around other dogs. He never barks at them and never initiates any kind of behavior—he’s genuinely one of the chillest little fellas you’ll ever meet. He does, however, have a bit of a playful instinct when it comes to wandering feral cats and may give chase if they cross his path. He absolutely loves car rides and is housetrained. He also does beautifully with kids who are gentle and respectful of his calm nature.
Frito is soft‑hearted, loyal, and so ready to belong to someone. If you’re looking for a loving, steady companion who will adore you with his whole being, this quiet, gentle boy might be the perfect match.
Gonzo
Meet Gonzo — small-to-medium in size, but large in personality. Born around December 2024 and rescued near the shelter with his mom Gypsi and five equally adorable siblings, Gonzo has been causing mild mayhem and stealing hearts ever since. He’s an active, happy pup who loves other dogs, learning new tricks, and splashing in any body of water he can find (puddle, bucket, ocean — he’s not picky). He’s smart, curious, and has the kind of energy that makes you say, “Oh no,” and then immediately, “Okay fine, I love you.” Gonzo is what we lovingly call a tiny hurricane of joy. He’ll put your hair up (literally and metaphorically), rearrange your shoes, and possibly redecorate your living room with a single zoomie. But he’ll also curl up next to you like a warm, fuzzy apology and gaze at you with eyes that say, “I just want to be happy — and maybe chew that pillow.” He rides well in the car, loves the beach, and is ready to graduate from outdoor shelter life to full-time family member. He’ll need help learning the ropes of home life, but with a little guidance and a lot of love, Gonzo will be the best kind of trouble you’ve ever invited in. Adopt Gonzo. Your hair might never be the same, but your heart will thank you.

Pipo is afraid of other dogs and can be reactive, so he’ll thrive in a calm, dog-free home where he can feel safe and supported. He’s the kind of dog who brings joy without demanding the spotlight — just a nice guy looking for a soft place to land. Scooby
Scooby is a sweet, calm young pup born around December 2022. Originally known as Peluchin, he was rescued alongside his dad, Shaggy, after their owner passed away. Sadly, the new residents of their former home made it clear they weren’t welcome — leaving Scooby and Shaggy to fend for themselves on the street. Despite the upheaval, Scooby has remained gentle and well-behaved. He’s currently safe in an outdoor shelter, where he’s patiently waiting for a family who will truly see him. He’s still learning what home life means, so he’ll need a kind, patient adopter to guide him through the basics — soft beds, cozy routines, and love that lasts. Scooby’s calm nature makes him a wonderful companion for someone seeking a loyal friend. He’s ready to leave the past behind and start fresh — with you.
Shaggy
Shaggy is a male dog born around December 2015. He was first noted as Peuche when rescued, but his name was changed to Shaggy to avoid confusion with another dog. Shaggy was rescued from the street with his son, Scooby, after their owner passed away. Sadly, the new people living in their old home did not want them around and offered no care. Shaggy is now safe in an outdoor shelter. He will need help adjusting to home life, but he is ready for a fresh start with a family who will welcome him.
Simon
Simon arrived with a rough case of mange and a tail full of tumors — but thanks to loving care, his skin has healed beautifully and his tail (now amputated) is no longer a source of pain. Born around April 2019, this little guy has come a long way, and today he’s thriving with only simple thyroid medication to keep him balanced. Simon is quiet, shy, and so incredibly sweet. He’s house trained, walks like a dream, and doesn’t mind other dogs — though he prefers calm companions over puppies or high-energy pups. At home, he’s the kind of dog who heads straight to his bed to chill like a seasoned nap professional. He’s currently with a foster and has already claimed his favorite sleeping spot. He loves affection, enjoys being picked up, and is perfectly fine with baths. His thyroid medication is easy to manage, and he takes it like a champ. And separation anxiety? Not in Simon’s vocabulary. Leave the house, come back hours later — he’ll still be snoozing in the same spot, blissfully unaware you ever left. Simon may be missing a tail, but he’s full of heart. If you’re looking for a calm, cuddly companion who asks for very little and gives back so much, Simon is waiting with his bed fluffed and his heart open.

Vaquita -Adoption Pending - Coquitlam, B.C.
Vaquita was left behind on the streets of Puerto Vallarta, confused and alone. A compassionate neighbor noticed her and reached out to our rescue, giving Vaquita the second chance she deserved. She has been staying at Puppyland ever since, where the staff can’t help but gush about her. They describe her as almost perfect — a gentle, affectionate sweetheart who loves to cuddle and is wonderful with kids. Her adorable personality wins people over instantly. Other dogs, however, are still a bit overwhelming for her. The playful puppies at the shelter try to engage her, but their energy scares her, and she’ll bark and run to keep her distance. She isn’t aggressive; she’s simply unsure and still learning how to feel safe around more exuberant dogs. Because she currently lives in an outdoor shelter environment, Vaquita will need some patience and guidance as she adjusts to life inside a home. She’s never had the chance to learn routines or enjoy the comforts of indoor living, but with her sweet nature and eagerness to bond, she’s ready to blossom with the right family. Vaquita is looking for someone who will show her kindness, stability, and love — someone who will never leave her behind again. She’s ready for her fresh start.
Wera
Wera is a beautiful young girl with a tender heart and a soft spirit. Born around June 2024, she’s still just a pup, but she has already shown incredible resilience and sweetness. Wanting to give her a chance at a better life, she brought Wera straight to the vet, covered all her medical care, and ensured she was fully vetted and spayed. Thanks to that act of kindness, Wera is now healthy, safe, and ready for her next chapter. She currently lives in an outdoor shelter, and while she’s well cared for, the busy environment and many dogs around her have made her a bit timid. With patience, love, and a calm home, she will blossom beautifully. She just needs someone willing to guide her as she learns the comforts of indoor living — soft beds, routines, affection, and the feeling of belonging. Despite her shy nature, Wera is incredibly sweet, gentle with people, and eager for connection. She’s healthy, young, and full of potential. All she needs is a family who sees her for the precious soul she is. Wera is ready for adoption — and ready to love. If you’re looking for a kind, sensitive companion to grow with, Wera may be your perfect match.
