Born around May 2025, Malibu is one of six precious puppies rescued near the Mezcales shelter alongside her siblings Martin, Mina, Momo, Moscu, and Morocco. Before rescue, their mama was surviving on the streets, doing everything she could to keep her babies safe, fed, and loved. When our Salty Dog team found them, the little family was struggling. The puppies were covered in fleas and ticks and battling worms, but despite their rough start, they never stopped wagging their tails or believing in kindness.
Malibu is a gentle soul with the sweetest heart. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, choosing to watch quietly from a safe distance at first. But give her a soft voice, a patient hand, and a little time, and you'll see her blossom. Once she knows she's safe, her affectionate, loving nature shines through, and she happily soaks up every bit of gentle attention.
Right now, Malibu lives in an outdoor shelter, where she waits each day for someone to choose her. She's never known the comfort of a cozy bed, a quiet place to call her own, or the security of a family that's there forever. Like any puppy, she'll need guidance as she learns about life inside a home, but what she wants most isn't fancy toys or treats. She simply wants to feel safe, loved, and wanted.
Malibu's story began on the streets, but it doesn't have to end there. Somewhere out there is the person who will show her what it means to belong, and in return, she'll offer a lifetime of loyalty, gratitude, and unconditional love.
