Chief’s journey is one of resilience. Born around November 2023, weighs 53 pounds, this beautiful brindle pup was found abandoned, skinny, and trembling. Since then, he has fought his way back from severe anaplasma, and though his eyesight isn’t perfect and he lives with epilepsy (managed with medication), Chief has already come so far. At first, Chief can be shy and uncertain — he’s still learning that gentle hands mean safety. He may flinch when touched, but once he feels comfortable, he allows holds and caresses, soaking up the affection he’s been missing. His bravery shines through in these moments, reminding us how much love he has to give.
✨ What makes Chief special:
A stunning brindle coat and soulful eyes that tell his story. Resilient and brave — he’s overcome illness and fear with quiet strength. Gentle at heart — he permits cuddles and caresses when he feels safe. Ready for TLC — he needs patience, kindness, and a stable home to thrive.
Chief is currently in an outdoor shelter, dreaming of the day he’ll curl up in a safe, loving home. He doesn’t need perfection — just someone with a big heart who believes every dog deserves a second chance.
💌 Could you be the one to show Chief what it means to be truly loved?
